Dr. Donald Crumbo

Dr. Donald Crumbo is the founding member of Cardiology Associates of Nashville. After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky, he attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After graduation, he trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

After completion of his training, Dr. Crumbo remained on the faculty of the University as Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory. Entering private practice a year later, he ultimately returned to Nashville in 1982 to start the cardiology department at Donelson Hospital, the predecessor to Summit Medical Center.

Dr. Crumbo specializes in general and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is board certified in Cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has served as president of the Nashville Cardiovascular Society as well as both Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Board of Summit Medical Center. He retains privileges at Summit Medical Center as well at St. Thomas and Baptist Hospitals and Centennial Medical Center.
