Nelson J. Mangione, MD, FACC

Dr. Mangione came to Centennial Heart from The Cardiology Group of Middle Tennessee where he practiced for 12 years. Dr. Mangione is a native of Tampa, Florida. After graduating with cum laude from the University of South Florida, he received his medical education at the University of South Florida where he graduated with honors. He served his Residency at Vanderbilt University and then returned to serve as Fellow and Chief Fellow at the University of South Florida. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty boards of Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology and holds special certification in Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Mangione's principal interest in clinical practice is diagnostic and preventive cardiology. Dr. Mangione also has a strong interest in medical informatics and technologies to improve physician workflow and decision-making to advance patient care.
