Dr. Thomas A. Williams, Jr. was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Virgina in 1993 and went on to earn his medical degree in 1998 from Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University. He completed his internship and Internal Medicine residency at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, where he received the Donald E. Olson award for Professionalism in Internal Medicine, the highest honor bestowed upon a resident in the medical center. Dr. Williams returned to Tennessee to complete a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Tennessee. In 2005 he completed a Fellowship in Electrophysiology at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. During his Electrophysiology Fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, he served as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Williams is board certifed in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Electrophysiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a memeber of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Tennessee Medical Association, the American Heart Association, and the Heart Rhythm Society.
